Online Counseling & Therapy

How does it work?

You must be located in the state of Illinois at the time of the session.

Online counseling works anywhere in Illinois, as long as you have a stable internet connection and a device with webcam functionality.

We ask that you have a private space for one hour, where no one else will be able to listen in and you will be able to focus on your therapeutic experience.

Once you schedule an appointment, you will receive an email confirmation with a video meeting link to click on at the time of your appointment that will take you right to the video session. If you are using a mobile device, you will be prompted to download an app that will be used. We use HIPAA-compliant software, so your information is private, confidential, and sessions are not recorded.

Who is a good fit For Online Therapy?

Online counseling and therapy may be a good option for clients with limited mobility, access to transportation, or who have an on-the-go lifestyle and are comfortable with utilizing technology to facilitate their theraputic experience.

Many clients achieve great results with online counseling. We offer a wide range of services that can be accessed by clients seeking an online therapeutic experience. You can learn more about our services by clicking here.

We do not recommend online counseling for people with an active addiction, someone with regular suicidal thinking, a person who dissociates during therapy, or for sessions that involve multiple people, such as couples or families.

Please note that clients must be physically located in the state of Illinois during the time and duration of their online sessions. We cannot accommodate clients located outside of the state of Illinois.

What Do Online Sessions cost?

The cost of online counseling is the same as in-office counseling. We accept many insurances for online counseling. If we are not in network with your insurance company, our standard rate is $175 per hour-long session. We also offer some reduced fees for those who cannot afford our full fee.
